DEA Audits Following Fentanyl Diversion Lead to $2 Million Settlement by N.H. Medical Center

A nonprofit medical center in New Hampshire agreed to pay $2 million to resolve allegations that it violated provisions of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) by failing to keep accurate records of opioids and other controlled substances. According to the DEA, the resolution is one of the largest-ever settlements of drug diversion claims brought against a hospital.
