DEA Proposes Removal of 6-beta-Naltrexol From Control

The Drug Enforcement Administration is proposing to remove 6-beta-naltrexol from all Controlled Substances Act controls (84 Fed. Reg. 43530, Aug. 21, 2019). The drug, a major metabolite of naltrexone, is a reversible opioid receptor antagonist presently listed in Schedule II for possible use in the treatment of opioid addiction and overdose.
