Final Rule Removes Samidorphan from CSA Control

A DEA rulemaking removing samidorphan (3-carboxamido-4-hydroxy naltrexone) from all Controlled Substances Act (CSA) schedules has been issued (86 Fed. Reg, 20284, Apr. 19, 2021).
Samidorphan had been scheduled as a Schedule II controlled substance because it can be derived from opium alkaloids.
