Hospital Agrees To Pay $15,000 Penalty for Failing To Prevent Employee Thefts of Opioid Over Two Years

A hospital in Omak, Washington, has agreed to pay a $15,000 Controlled Substances Act penalty for failing to establish sufficient controls to detect thefts of controlled substances by one of its employees.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the agreement with Mid-Valley Hospital and Clinic on Nov. 15.
