House Passes Bill That Would Permanently Include All Fentanyl-Related Substances in Schedule I

The House May 25 passed and sent to the Senate legislation that would permanently schedule fentanyl and fentanyl analogues as Schedule I controlled substances under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). The proposal also would promote clinical research into fentanyl analogues to help find legitimate medical uses for the substances.
